Here’s your chance to join! We’re looking for our Client for a Linux Kernel Specialist (all genders) to become part of the cross-functional, fully agile application development team. It will be a permanent full-time position with a fully remote or 70%  home - office.

Your Tasks:

  • Design, develop, and customize the Linux kernel to meet the organization's specific requirements.
  • Debug and resolve complex kernel-level issues, including performance bottlenecks, system crashes, and hardware compatibility problems.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and address Linux kernel-related issues in software applications.
  • Perform kernel module development and integration for device drivers, file systems, and other system components.
  • Optimize the Linux kernel for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in Linux kernel development and contribute to open-source projects when applicable.
  • Conduct performance analysis, profiling, and tuning of Linux-based systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members regarding Linux kernel-related matters.
  • Document processes, procedures, and system configurations related to Linux kernel development and maintenance.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience in Linux kernel development, including hands-on experience with kernel programming, debugging, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of operating system internals and computer architecture.
  • Proficiency in C and assembly language programming.
  • Knowledge of kernel-level programming interfaces, system calls, and device drivers.
  • Experience with performance analysis and tuning of Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with open-source development practices and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
