Are you an experienced DevOps System Engineer with a passion for Linux and cloud technologies? Our client is known for managing high-performance public and private clouds and delivering managed platform services to renowned customers across various industries.
YOUR TASKS:
- Platform Development & Support: Design, develop, and continuously support managed platforms to ensure they meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
- Virtualization & Containerization: Operate and maintain platforms using advanced virtualization solutions and modern container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring efficient resource utilization and platform stability.
- High Availability Management: Manage highly available platforms by implementing and maintaining central storage solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and robust disaster recovery plans.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with technical project managers to understand customer requirements, provide technical insights, and coordinate efforts for seamless platform integration and successful project delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing optimizations for platform performance, security, and automation.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments (e.g., CentOS, RedHat)
- In-depth experience with virtualization solutions (e.g., XEN, RHEV)
- Skilled in load balancing, failover solutions, and firewall management (IPtables, pfSense, etc.)
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, and Galera
- Independent and team-oriented, with a structured and organized work approach
- Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration/delivery tools (e.g., GitLab CI) is desirable
- Practical experience with automation tools such as Ansible is beneficial
- Experience with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) is advantageous
- Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS and Google Cloud is a plus
- Good command of German and English is required.
